Privacy Policy

1. Product scope and data posture

FrontSeven is a local-first weekly AI news front for iPhone. You can run What's new to fill this week's AI news cards, browse the week shelf and stories, Ask for a brief on a story, and keep source pins on this device. FrontSeven does not create a FrontSeven account and does not sync a FrontSeven cloud login. Week boards, cards, briefs, and preferences stay on this iPhone unless you later allow an AI send described below.

2. Information you create and product interaction

You may store this week's board (week range, status, card ids), news cards and stories, briefs, news source pins (name, host, legal kind), typed or spoken ask text, optional attached photos, AI consent state, and daily free-use counts. Removing the App deletes on-device FrontSeven data.

3. Device permissions and media

When you choose the related control, FrontSeven may use Camera or Photos so you can attach a newsletter page or source screenshot onto a story, and Microphone plus Speech recognition so spoken notes can become editable text on this iPhone. Deny any permission and keep using features that do not need it. Photo pixels leave this iPhone only when you use an AI feature after AI consent and attach a photo. FrontSeven does not collect face data.

4. Daily free uses and existing shell purchases

Pinning a reviewed week's cards or keeping a reviewed story brief uses one of 10 free uses today on this iPhone. The count resets at midnight on this device. Browsing, streaming drafts, declining AI consent, and closing sheets do not spend a use. This measurement-only update does not add a FrontSeven coin storefront, subscription, or new paywall.

An existing shell StoreKit purchase path may still appear when the product seal is open. Apple processes payment. Reported purchase amounts come only from verified StoreKit transactions. This update does not expand that catalog.

5. App Tracking Transparency, measurement, and AI

FrontSeven may ask for App Tracking Transparency (ATT) after week cards are actually visible on the home shelf, or later from Settings if you have not been asked. ATT is never treated as AI consent.

FrontSeven uses the Adjust SDK for campaign and product-interaction measurement when an Adjust app token is present. Before the first SDK start, and whenever ATT is not authorized, FrontSeven turns off partner sharing and cross-app tracking. If an event token is empty, FrontSeven does not send that event. Empty tokens are not the same as completed measurement. Some new funnel tokens may still be awaiting operator configuration.

When measurement runs, Adjust may receive Device ID and Product Interaction signals (workflow state, non-content keys, and error class). When the existing shell StoreKit path reports a verified purchase, Purchase History related to that transaction may also be measured. These signals do not include AI conversation text, news article body text, or photo pixels. PrivacyInfo lists adjust.com and app.adjust.com as tracking domains. NSPrivacyTracking is true. FrontSeven does not display third-party ads in this build.

AI consent is a separate question. Before the first outbound What's new or Ask send, FrontSeven asks you to Allow AI… or Keep everything on this iPhone. Decline keeps the week shelf and browsing local. You can withdraw AI consent later in Settings; after withdrawal FrontSeven does not send further content to DeepSeek.

6. Network access and third parties

Named recipients in this build:

• Adjust, for measurement when tokens are present and ATT rules above are applied
• DeepSeek, only after AI allow, as described below
• Apple, for Speech recognition, ATT, and StoreKit when the shell purchase path is open

After AI opt-in, FrontSeven may send this week's board context, news source pins, story fields when you Ask (title, source, url, excerpt), earlier briefs, the question you type or speak, and any photo you attach. FrontSeven does not invent other advertising recipients.

7. Retention, deletion, and security

Week boards, cards, briefs, photos, and free-use counts remain on this iPhone until you delete them or remove FrontSeven. We do not operate a FrontSeven account recovery store. Keep your own backups if you need them.

8. Advice boundary

FrontSeven briefs are evaluations of stories, not medical, legal, or financial advice.

We may update this policy. The effective and updated dates above change when we do.

Firebase Remote Config

FrontSeven may use Google Firebase Core and Remote Config only to choose an in-app onboarding presentation variant. Remote Config does not control purchases, ATT, or AI consent. Firebase project used for this App is configured under the FrontSeven iOS App identity so.frontseven.newsweek.
